Birds and Flowers Cake.
I used food color gel to hand paint the details on the design of Spring on this cake. Painting is also a hobby of mine, so this was easy and fun for me to actually paint the birds and nest. The Mums on top, was made with gum paste and is compleatly edible. The cake itself, is strawberry cake, with lemon cream cheese frosting, and fresh strawberry filling.
This Cake feeds 20 to 25 people.
It took me 12 hours of prep time, from start to finish for this cake.
