My Mother Maria's Memorial Cake.
This cake had to represent my mother's life and everything she loved: her religion, her family, dancing, the beach, and even the flowers.
The dancing Spanish and Mexican ladies were hand painted by me on rectangular tiles. The Serratos Family Crest I also hand sculpted and painted. Those items were made as keepsakes for my family and I. The rest of the decotaions, flowers, shells and starfish, are all edible. The cake itself is differnt flavors, chocolate, vanilla, chocolate chip and lemon cake.
This creation was done as a labor of love, for a wonderful woman that was full of life.
